First impressions last. Showcase your home in the best possible light. You
never get another chance to make a good first impression and the same holds
true for your home. Make sure the home that you are selling stands out from
the other homes that are for sale in your market area. Give buyer's a reason
to remember your property. The better impression your house makes on a
potential buyer will most likely result in a faster sale and a higher price,
many times it will result in multiple offers and offers above asking price.

Most buyers will search the internet and drive by a property before the
first call goes out to a realtor. If the property does not offer good curb
appeal, most likely the potential buyer will not schedule an appointment to
view the interior. The first impression is already made and it may not be a
good one. The buyer may automatically assume that the interior needs work or
may be outdated. The chances of getting that buyer back to the property are
very slim. |

Staging is the art of preparing a house for sale.
Buyers want to envision themselves and their family in a home. When a home
is tired, in need of repair, cluttered, dirty or just too much stuff, it is
very hard for most buyer's to see past that. These examples make the
potential buyer focus on the wrong things. The solution may be as simple as
rearranging the furniture and accessories, editing out some of the
collectables, cleaning up the clutter, and sprucing up. |
As a professional stager,
I will look at the home for sale with a buyer's eye, without bias or emotion
and evaluate the pros and cons of the property. I will evaluate the home in
its entirety, from the front door to the back door, the upstairs to the
downstairs and all around the house and yard. Instead of just hearing
negatives, (especially from prospective buyers or realtors - after it is too
late) I will give the realtor and/or the seller suggestions on ways to
improve the saleability of the property and I will also help the realtor
and/or seller in getting the job done.
